How are the paintings/drawings shipped?
If you are purchasing a painting on canvas, please refer to the listing to see if that particular piece ships rolled or stretched. Large pieces ship rolled when possible. I will always contact you first to discuss shipping methods. Rolled canvas is the overall safest option and is a very common practice. It involves less chance of damage and is significantly less expensive to ship. You will need to have a professional local framer do the rest. The cost saved via shipping will roll over into custom framing when you receive it.
Paintings on canvas are carefully packed and shipped via Priority Mail (whenever available) by either USPS or UPS. A tracking number is provided and the canvas(es) is/are insured for full retail value.
Extra large pieces (which are noted) will be shipped unstretched and in a puncture and moisture resistant tubing. This is due to prohibitive shipping costs for very large works. These pieces can be taken to a frame shop and restretched, typically for a minimal cost. If you would like a work shipped stretched (available in US only) please contact me and we can work something out for an additional shipping cost.
Paintings/Drawings on panel are shipped via Priority Mail (whenever available) by either USPS or UPS. A tracking number is provided and the panel(s) is/are insured for full retail value. All works on panel are shipped in a protective foam insulated casing with an outer wrapping of corrugated cardboard. This method is more cost effective than a wooden crate and very common when shipping artwork. I will confirm your shipping address and also send a shipping notice with tracking number.
Works on paper are shipped via First Class by USPS. All original works on paper are shipped in a protective tube. All fine art prints are shipped from the printer. You will be contacted to confirm your shipping address and also send a shipping notice with tracking number.
*Any shipping overages will be refunded.
